VOTE FOR PROPOSITION 4

Texas' population is projected to grow by 70 percent in the next 50 years, but our water supply won't be enough to support that growth. The state faces more than $200 billion in water, wastewater, and flood infrastructure needs.

If passed by Texas voters, Proposition 4 (Prop 4) would dedicate up to $1 billion of existing state sales and use tax revenue each year to the Texas Water Fund for the next 20 years—without increasing taxes or fees.

Increase the state's water supply to ensure all communities have enough water, especially during drought.
Help fund needed repairs and replacement of aging and leaking water pipes.
Improve the safety and reliability of our water systems, ensuring all communities have access to clean water.

Election Dates

Prop 4 is on the ballot and would authorize the creation of a dedicated fund for water projects—without raising taxes. Early voting begins October 20.
